Should we build with WinUI 3, WPF, or WinForms?

WinUI 3 is the right default for a new product that will be maintained for years. WPF remains an excellent choice when you need a mature control ecosystem or heavy data grids, and it is still fully supported. WinForms makes sense when we are extending software you already run rather than replacing it. We make the call with you, in writing, before development starts.

Can you modernise our existing .NET Framework application?

Yes, and it is one of the most common projects we take on. We audit the codebase and dependencies, upgrade to modern .NET in stages so the app keeps shipping throughout, and replace the parts that block the migration. Where a full rewrite genuinely is cheaper than a migration, we will tell you that instead of billing for the longer route.

Will the app work without an internet connection?

If your users need it to, yes. We design offline-first when the requirement is there: local SQLite or a local database, a queued sync layer, and conflict handling that matches your business rules rather than silently overwriting someone’s work.
